GROWERS LEARN: Fruit And Vegetable Conference

Fruit and Vegetable growers are using their off season to learn more about their craft.

The Iowa Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association is holding its annual conference with more than 20 exhibitors displaying the latest seeds, supplies and equipment.

There are also educational opportunities for farmers about a variety of topics, including how to use social media to do better business locally.

Organizers say everyone is welcome, not just farmers.

The conference runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the DMACC campus in Ankeny.
