A Davenport man accused of trying to kill his wife by setting her on fire was arrested Wednesday night.

Fifty-nine-year-old Tom Kuan is being held at the Scott County Jail on a $100,000 bond.

Police say Kuan allegedly dumped gasoline on his wife and himself and started a fire in December. Kuan’s wife escaped the home through the garage with severe burns on her body.

Kuan was arrested after being released from the hospital.

He is charged with attempted murder, first degree arson, and domestic abuse with a weapon.
