Speed and corn oil turned out to be a bad combination for a truck driver Thursday night.

Rescue crews responded to a rollover accident on the East 14th ramp off Interstate 80 near Ankeny before 8 p.m.

Authorities say the driver of the truck was likely going too fast on the ramp when the corn oil he was hauling shifted in his trailer, causing the truck to tip over and hit a light pole.

The driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Hydro Klean had to be called in to clean up the spilled corn oil.
