KONG HONORED: Hoover vs Lincoln Boys Basketball

Lincoln High School played for more than just a win Friday night, it was Kevin Kong night at the roundhouse.

Kong would have been a senior on the Railsplitters basketball team, but he drowned in the Raccoon River this past June.

Students, family, and friends wore t-shirts in his honor. Before the game the team and student body presented Kevin’s mother with a check to help cover funeral expenses.

As for the game, the Rails came out strong, but the Huskies came back for the win 50-43.
