PRESIDENT SEARCH: UNI Second Candidate Named

The name of the second finalist hoping to snag the job of president of the University of Northern Iowa has been revealed.

Avijit Ghosh, Sr. will be on campus next Wednesday and Thursday for interviews. He is the current senior advisor to the president at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. A public forum with Ghosh is being held Wednesday at Slife Ballroom in the Commons at 2:00 p.m.

Earlier this week the university announced William Rudd was the first finalist. He’ll be on campus Monday and Tuesday.

The third and final candidate hasn’t been announced yet.

Current president Ben Allen announced in August he would retire by the beginning of July, 2013.
