MENS BASKETBALL: ISU Vs. Kansas State

Iowa State is searching for that signature win to boost their resume. 

The Cyclones’ 3 big 12 wins are against Texas, TCU, and West Virginia.  In football those are great wins, basketball, not so much

Those 3 teams are a combined 2-15 in the conference. 

Big chance Saturday at Hilton against #11 Kansas State.

-1st half, Will Clyburn…thievery…and he can dunk.  24 points for Clyburn…but ISU trails 27-26 at the half.

-2nd half, Georges Niang.  How good is he for a freshman?  Buries the 3.  Clones up 54-51

Late in the game, Cyclones up 3 with Niang playing like a senior.

Big win for Iowa State.  73-67 over Kansas State.

Hoiburg praised the teams attacking play saying it was an, “exciting, fun basketball game I thought if you like offense… I challenged our guys, I said fellas, ‘we are scoring every time down the full, we gotta find a way to get stops.”

Cyclones hit the road Wednesday at Oklahoma State.
