Traffic on a northeastern Iowa roadway had to be re-routed after a tanker truck spilled a highly flammable liquid on the roadway.

Dubuque County authorities say the tanker was carrying more than 5,000 gallons of ethyl acetate when it overturned on Highway 151.

Traffic was detoured while hazardous material crews cleaned up the flammable liquid.

The road was reopened for the evening commute.
