The Polk County Sheriff’s Office has made two arrests in connection with several thefts from motor homes and campers.

Sgt. Jana Rooker says the investigation began January 2nd when a deputy was driving through the lot at Plaza RV in Bondurant and noticed several campers had broken windows and doors. Some of the campers were privately owned and being stored on the lot and others were for sale.

Officials say TVs and other electronics were stolen from the campers.

Two Des Moines men have been linked to the thefts and officials say they may be responsible for similar crimes in other jurisdictions.

Twenty-three-year-old Jason Tingley and 35-year-old Tory Bradley are charged with first degree theft, ongoing criminal conduct, and first degree criminal mischief. Tingley faces an additional charge of possession of contraband in a correctional facility.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says Ankeny Police are also looking into whether Tingley and Bradley are involved in a similar case.

The investigation is ongoing.
