With negative wind-chills nobody should be spending too much time outside, but for those who don’t have a choice, bundling up is the only way to be protected from the elements.

That is why a Quad Cities Church collected winter clothes for kids who have to wait outside for their school buses.

Members of the People’s Missionary Baptist Church selected a third grade class for their community service project and surprised them all with new hats and gloves.

“I have never had a hat before and the gloves will help me in the snow,” one student said.

The church group plans to do it again and members say next time it’ll be bigger and better.
