BLOOD DRIVE: Donations Dip In Winter

Tuesday you can give blood and possibly win tickets to a show.

LifeServe Blood Center is holding a blood drive from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at its building at 431 East Locust in Des Moines.

No appointments are necessary and all participants will be entered into a drawing to win a pair of tickets to see Jekyll and Hyde. It’s for the opening night performance at the Civic Center on March 5th.

Now is a great time to donate blood. Donations tend to dip in the winter months because of bad weather and cold and flu season.

There’s less than a two-day supply of O Negative blood and a two to three day  supply of A Negative and AB Positive blood.
