A home in Clive was saved by a passing bus driver Tuesday afternoon.
Fire crews were called to a home at the 1200 block of Northwest 90th Street when the school bus driver noticed smoke coming out of an upstairs window.

Investigators found the fire was caused by carelessly discarded smoking materials in an upstairs office.

Firefighters were able to confine the fire to the office and extinguish it quickly.

No one was home at the time of the fire.  Officials estimate the home sustained $25,000 in damage.
