Candidates looking to become the next superintendent of the Des Moines School District have until Monday to apply.
That’s the last day of the application period which began back in December.
The position was left empty when Nancy Sebring resigned in May after the media discovered sexually-explicit e-mails on her district account.
The district hopes to hire a new superintendent in time for the 2013-2014 school year.
After the Monday deadline has come and gone, the school board will get a report from the search firm concerning the applicants.
