SIGNING DAY: Hawkeyes And Cyclones Welcome New Class

It was national signing day on Thursday, Iowa and Iowa State welcomed more than 20 players each to their class of 2013.

Iowa State had 25 players committing from 8 different states. Valley’s Jake Campos, Ankeny’s Joel Lanning, and Waukee’s Ryan Glenn are the local boys heading to Ames.

Over in Iowa City, 21 Hawkeyes from ten states signed on the dotted line. Included in those was Dowling Maroon John Wizniski, who didn’t let his family full of Cyclones, change his decision to become a Hawkeye.

According to ratings Iowa will enter the season 52nd in the nation, trailed by Iowa State rated 64th.
