She’s not yet a candidate for any public office, but actress Ashley Judd is getting a dose of campaign politics.
She’s the subject of a new ad mocking her Senate hopes, past praise of President Obama and the state she calls home.
Judd is mulling a Senate bid in Kentucky against Republican leader Mitch McConnell.
She grew up there, but moved to Tennessee early in her career.
In the ad, a narrator sarcastically calls Judd “an Obama following, radical Hollywood liberal who’s right at home here in Tennessee. I mean Kentucky.”
The ad is paid for by American Crossroads, the pro-Republican super PAC co-founded by GOP strategist Karl Rove.
Judd has not officially announced that she’s running for Senate.
