The Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force arrested a man wanted on a warrant out of Urbandale and also discovered a meth lab during the arrest.

Early Wednesday morning, members of the M.I.N.E. task force and Newton police served an outstanding arrest warrant on a man staying at the Mid-Iowa Motel.

Members of the task force went into the motel and found 25-year-old Timothy Jacobs, a meth lab and some drug paraphernalia.

Police took Jacobs to the Jasper County Jail and charged him with felony manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He’s being held on $25,000 bond. More charges are expected in the case.

Jacobs faces 25 years in prison if convicted on the manufacturing charge.
