CAR CRASH: One Person Dies

One person was killed in a crash on Interstate 35/80 this afternoon.

It happened in the southbound lanes near the University Avenue Bridge around five Friday evening.

Crews were still on scene late this evening removing one of the vehicles.

The Des Moines Register reports one person was killed and four others taken to the hospital.

Police haven’t released the names of those involved in the crash.
