Over 200 swimmers from 36 schools gathered in Marshalltown for the boys state swim meet.

Dowling, Johnston and Valley were all gunning for a state title.

But can anyone stop Muscatine?

In front of a packed house at the Marshalltown Y, in the 200m freestyle it was a great swim by Dowling senior Ben Severino, a state champ in 1:42.08. Waukee freshman Jack Scafuri is 3rd.

100m butterfly, Roosevelt’s Max Ward finishes 2nd, Severino takes 3rd.

100m freestyle, Dowling's Jon Fiepke, who came 2nd in the 50m, was crowned state champion in the 100 blowing away the field in 44.76 seconds.
