FATAL CRASH: Passenger Killed

Authorities in northeast Iowa say slick roads lead to an early morning fatal accident.

The Grundy County Sheriff’s office says around 1.30 Sunday morning, an SUV was heading southbound on Highway 14, near Parkersburg, when the driver lost control on the ice covered road.

The vehicle slid into the ditch and hit a utility pole.

A passenger, 44-year-old Sheila Cole died.

Two others were injured.
