Ames’ city council will talk about expanding the city at a meeting Tuesday night.
The city needs more room for future housing needs. City staff has identified three parcels of land for annexation.
Two are located next to Ada Hayden Park and a third is on the northwest edge of Ames.
Developers say Ames is running out of land to build new homes and the 355 acres of annexation would satisfy normal housing demand for a number of years.
