APPLICATION CLOSED: Superintendent Search Nears End
The deadline to apply to become the next superintendent of the Des Moines School District has arrived. Monday was the last day superintendent hopefuls could turn in their applications.
Now a search firm will review the applicants and report to the school board in a special closed session on February 21.
The district hopes to have the new superintendent hired in time for the 2013-2014 school year.
The position was left empty when Nancy Sebring resigned in May after the media discovered sexually-explicit e-mails on her district account.
