LOVE BIRDS: Longest Married Couple In Iowa

One Iowa couple have had a little practice celebrating Valentine’s Day, this is their 77^th together.

John and Anna Dwyer are the longest-married couple in Iowa.

They tied the knot in Cedar Rapids during the Great Depression. Times were tough, so Anna didn’t even wear a wedding dress, and not a single photo was taken of the special day.

Regardless, almost 78 years later they have three kids, 11 grandkids and are still very much in love.

The couple will mark their 78th wedding anniversary in April.
