FLIGHT DELAYS: Snow Impacts Airport

A lot of people are waking up to snow Friday morning without having planned to.

Dozens of flights were canceled out of the Des Moines International Airport Thursday and it’s the same situation Friday morning.

Early flights to Chicago, Washington D.C., Memphis, Detroit, Phoenix and Minneapolis are all canceled. Other flights to Atlanta and Dallas are delayed.

As of early Friday morning, many flights after 8.25 a.m. are going on as scheduled.

If you are flying Friday, it is recommended that you check with your airline and on the airport website.
