The Des Moines school board is interviewing candidates for the superintendent position.

A total of 49 people applied for the position, and six made it to the interview process.

The final round of interviews will take place next week and will be televised in the multi-purpose room at Central Campus.

Former superintendent Nancy Sebring resigned last May when the board learned she used her district email account to send sexually explicit emails.
