SLICK I-80: Semi Slides, Blocks Road

A jack-knifed semi trailer caused traffic to be blocked on I-80 for several hours in Urbandale Tuesday morning.

The slick roads caused the semi to slide sideways and the trailer blocked all three lanes of westbound I-80 near Douglas Avenue. The road was closed between Exit 125 and Exit 126 and traffic was re-routed.

After crews cleaned up the area and got the semi off the road I-80 westbound was re-opened.
