The snow caused a break in the Seth Techel murder trial Tuesday in Ottumwa.
Techel is charged with first degree murder and non-consensual termination of a human pregnancy in the death of his pregnant wife Lisa Techel.
Monday, Rachel McFarland took the stand. She told the jury about an affair she was having with Seth Techel. McFarland told the jury he used a fake email name and pre-paid cell phone to communicate with her.
Techel’s attorney downplayed the relationship saying it wasn’t serious.
Wednesday, the jury expects to hear from some of the crime scene investigators.
