BASKETBALL JAMBOREE: Ruby Van Meter Crushes Dowling

Ruby Van Meter High School held its annual Basketball Jamboree Thursday.

Roosevelt High School hosted the matchup between RVM and Dowling.

Ruby Van Meter is a school for special needs students age 12 to 21. They field a girls’ team, and both varsity and junior varsity boys teams.

Their coach says the players have been putting in practice time for months preparing for the big night. He says the anticipation has been growing. “Every day I’ve gotten questions about it from the kids, but this is their night to shine.”

Dowling was no match for Ruby Van Meter; the Vikings won all three games.
