STATE TOURNEY: Southeast Polk Advances To Final

Southeast Polk took on Ankeny in the Class 5A semifinals at the Girls State Basketball Tournament Friday.

The game came down to the final moments. Southeast Polk was up two points with just five seconds left and Rams star Caitlin Ingle misses two free throws, leaving the door open for Ankeny.

The Hawks take the ball down the court but are unable to score.

Southeast Polk wins over Ankeny, 40 to 38, to make it to the championship game.

The Class 5A final will be an all-metro affair. Dowling Catholic advanced Friday against Mason City with a score of 50-43.
