DEER CLASSIC: Hunters Take Over Hy-Vee Hall

If you’re a hunter there is probably one big thing on your to-do list this weekend. The Iowa Deer Classic is taking over Hy-Vee Hall Friday night through Sunday.

This year, the event has more exhibit’s than it’s ever had before.

You’ll find the latest and greatest gear, equipment, outfitters and activities including several contests.

“If you are into big bucks, this is the place to see those,” says show producer, John Bunge.” Our big buck contest generally brings in 300-400 antlers that Iowa hunters bring in. We also have the shed antler contest too. And great display and contest for sheds.”

You can also see Iowa armless archer Matt Stutzman during the event at 4 p.m. Saturday and 12.30 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for children aged 10 to 15.
