JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT: Stock Market Challenge

Hundreds of juniors and seniors put their economics lesson to the test on Wednesday.

Five schools from across Iowa participated in the Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge including ADM, Des Moines East, Madrid and Lynnville-Sully.

Students were split into teams of four and given descriptions of 26 stocks and $500,000 to invest. Then they had 60 “days” to decide what to do with their investments, with each minute being 1-day.

At the end of the day a team from Madrid had the highest gains winning the challenge.
