CONSTRUCTION ACCIDENT: Hospital Patient Injured

A major construction project at the University of Iowa Hospital was put on hold after a patient was injured Friday.

The Des Moines Register reports a concrete panel was being lifted by a crane when it broke loose and fell, crashing through a window.

A patient was cut by flying glass, but the injuries were minor.

The hospital decided to suspend construction while the accident is investigated.
