Republicans have been searching for other candidates to run for the departing Senator Tom Harkin’s seat.

Congressman Steve King has said he is closer to making a decision but Iowa Republican Party Chairman A.J. Spiker confirmed to Channel 13 he's not only looking for the best candidates but he might be a candidate himself.

Sunday morning on "The Insiders", he didn't rule out running, even if Fourth District Congressman Steve King eventually decides to run, too.

When pressed if he would run for his party’s nomination if King also ran, Spiker responded, “Oh, we’ll see.”
