Eleven inches of snow fell on the Fort Dodge area, making driving treacherous.

Dozens of cars wound up in ditches, and then in repair shops. And while most dealt with minor fender benders, the costs can add up.

“Anywhere from $1,200 to $2,500 if you didn’t hit another car. ” says Corey Pratt of Metal Workz Body Shop, “If you just went into a ditch.  Messed it up.”

While there were plenty of accidents, there were no reports of serious injuries.
