MYSTERY PLOW: Getting A Little Help Digging Out

Northwest Iowa got the worst of the most recent winter storm.

People in Carroll and surrounding communities spent the day shoveling out from more than 10 inches of snow.

Linda Hoogestraat says it really didn’t take her too long to shovel her driveway thanks to her neighbor Gene, and some unexpected help.

“I just started shoveling, and saw some skid-loaders go by, so I was hoping someone would stop and help. Then Gene came out and this gentleman with a skid-loader stopped and finished it off. Then took off without any money, but that’s the way people are around here,” she said.

Carroll Schools started the day by delaying classes, but then opted to cancel classes all together. It is the districts 4^th snow day this year.
