Nearly a month after a winter storm postponed the Boys and Girls State Bowling Tournament the teams finally got underway Monday.

The best of the best from class 1A packed Plaza Lanes in Des Moines.

Many coaches worried the additional three weeks might ruin the rhythm of the season, but from the looks of Monday’s scoreboard, these bowlers aren’t fazed a bit.

Dubuque Wahlert leads in both boys and girls.

Camanche and Keokuk round out the top 3 for the girls.

Xavier and West Delaware pick up second and third for the boys.
