WINTER WEATHER: Snow Causing Slick Roads

This is an archived article and the information in the article may be outdated. Please look at the time stamp on the story to see when it was last updated.

Five to 14 inches of snow fell across western Iowa with the heaviest totals around Omaha-Carroll-Fort Dodge-Mason City.

The snow ended in Des Moines just before noon Monday.  The winds will remain strong throughout the day leading to blowing snow, which will lower visibilities.  Roads are slippery so please be careful and allow extra time if you must travel.
