COFFEE DEBT: House Java Fund Deficit

Iowa lawmakers are working to cut their debt, for the coffee fund.

In an e-mail, the Iowa House clerk reported the chamber’s coffee fund is $1,400 in the hole.

According to the Des Moines Register, coffee drinkers are asked to pay $30 for the year. So far just 60 have paid.

The House clerk is threatening to remove one of the three coffee makers if the debt isn’t settled.
