TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT: Ames Police Project

Authorities say you’ll probably notice more police on the Ames roads at the end of the week.

Ames police are stepping up enforcement for the St. Patrick’s Day festivities.

The enforcement project will run from March 14th to the 17th. Officers will be focusing on nabbing drunk drivers and anyone not wearing seat belts.

The project is being paid for with a grant from the Iowa Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau.
