Senator Charles Grassley thinks the U.S. Senate will come to agreement on some new gun control measures in the near future.
An assault weapon ban won’t be of them. Grassley told reporters Wednesday that he wouldn’t support a ban in committee and he won’t support it on the Senate floor.
Grassley does believe the senate will approve bills to fight trafficking of weapons and to approve funding for more police officers to patrol schools. He already voted in favor of both bills in committee.
All three bill will be considered by the full senate in the coming weeks.
