ST. PATTY’S PARADE: New Route This Year

You’ll see a lot of green across the metro this weekend; local bars are setting up to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day events on both Saturday and Sunday.

The annual family friendly Sons of St. Patrick parade will wind through the streets of downtown Des Moines Saturday.

The parade begins at noon and will follow a different route this year. It starts at 15^th street and MLK then turns east and follows Grand Avenue to 8^th street. After the parade there is an after-party in the downtown Marriott.
