UNAUTHORIZED CLINIC: Doctor Cleared Of Criminal Charges

A Grundy Center doctor accused of running an unauthorized methadone clinic will not stand trial.

Doctor Frank Lamp is accused of operating a substance abuse treatment program without a license and unlawfully prescribing the narcotic pain killer, methadone, to patients.

This week, a Grundy County District Court cleared Dr. Lamp of all criminal charges.

Lamp still faces disciplinary action by the Iowa Board of Medicine. His hearing is set for Thursday, March 21.
