It was a bit chilly outside for St. Patrick’s Day parade goers Saturday but the snap back to winter is good for business at Brenton Skating Plaza.
The ice rink had to close this week when the temperatures warmed up but Saturday’s cool down allowed them to open again.
“This is only the second time that we’ve been open this late in the season,” said Steve Rullestad. “So I guess we’re thankful that its colder now.”
Rullestad says they’re taking it day by day but if Mother Nature cooperates, they’ll open each evening during spring break to keep kids busy while they’re out of school.
