GAME WATCH: Making The Trek to Dayton Or Staying Here
The Iowa State men’s basketball team will take on Notre Dame Friday in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
If you’re thinking about going, you’ll need to be ready to pay the price.
Iowa State was only allotted 350 tickets by the NCAA, so you will likely have to go elsewhere to purchase your ticket. On Stubhub.com ticket prices start at $ 112 each.
A drive to Dayton will take you about nine hours, but it will be cheaper than flying. A plane ticket from Des Moines to Dayton on Thursday will set you back about $1,300.
If you can’t make the trip Cyclone-Fanatic publisher Chris Williams says there are cheaper options here in town. “I’m a game-watch guy. Our company does two of them at Keg Stand in West Des Moines and at Benchwarmers in Ankeny and if you go in one of those places during an ISU game, it’s packed. There are hundreds of cyclones fans.”
The Iowa State Alumni Association has also come up with fan options. Check their game-watch guide.
The game tips off at 8:45 p.m. Friday.
