POKER TABLE: Iowans Build Reproduction For USS Iowa

The USS Iowa will receive an addition to its museum later this week.

A special poker table will be presented to the ship’s caretakers on Wednesday. It’s a reproduction of a famous poker table used by President Harry S. Truman.

It was made in central Iowa by built by Dave Knau of Windsor Heights and Jim Gocke of Bondurant.

The original table was presented to President Truman by the U.S. Navy. It’s currently on display in the Harry S. Truman Little White House in Key West, Florida where Truman often vacationed.
