MORNING FIRE: Three Escape In Davenport

Three people managed to escape a fire in eastern Iowa early Wednesday morning.

The Davenport Fire Department was called to put out a fire west of downtown around 4:00 p.m.

The home doubles as both a barbershop and an apartment building. The fire department says all three people living on the second floor of the building managed to get out safely.

Officials don’t know what the caused the fire, but say it started in the basement.
