As the clock ticks down to the start of the NCAA Wrestling Tournament the coaches held a press conference Wednesday afternoon.
The first session begins at 11 a.m. Thursday. Five more sessions will follow throughout the weekend. The nearly 100,000 available tickets sold out in less than 15 minutes. For those who weren’t lucky enough to get tickets in time the Fan Fest taking place in Hy-Vee Hall will provide big screens to watch all the action.
Channel 13’s Keith Murphy was on hand Wednesday to hear from the coaches, hoping to see their wrestlers win big. They all agreed it’s nice to see such a big event in a town that’s already giving wrestling a big warm hug.
