SECOND BEST: Iowa Auto Insurance Rates

A new survey shows Iowa ranks second for the best auto insurance rates in the country.

The survey by Insure.com shows drivers in Iowa pay a little more than a $1,000 a year on average.

That’s second best in the country, behind Maine. Drivers there pay around $900 a year.

Louisiana comes in last place, with yearly premiums of roughly $2,700. Michigan and Georgia followed Louisiana in second and third place, respectively.
