Des Moines police are still looking for the person who robbed an east side credit union Wednesday.

Police say the Greater Iowa Credit Union at 600 E. 30th was robbed at 2:39 p.m. A man wearing a camouflage-pattern face mask entered the bank and passed a note to the teller demanding money and saying he had a gun.

The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money and the teller’s car. The car was found abandoned a few minutes later in the 2200 block of Dean.

A police K-9 unit worked to track the suspect but lost the trail.

Police say the suspect is a white male in his 20s. He was wearing dark-colored Carhart overalls and jacket, and a dark-colored hat.
