STATEHOUSE TOUR: Branstad Makes Up For Cancelled White House Tour

Governor Branstad has a special treat for a 6^th grade class from Waverly.

The students at St. Paul’s Lutheran School were supposed to tour the White House in early March, but the tour was cancelled due to federal budget cuts. The students put together a Facebook campaign hoping the White House would change their minds, but their request was denied.

Governor Branstad announced he would give the students a behind the scenes tour of the statehouse and Terrace Hill next Thursday.
