WOUNDED WARRIORS: Students Help Soldiers
A group of Iowa students are trying to make a difference for the men and women who serve our country.
Third grade students in the quad cities are working on creating a quilt for the Wounded Warriors Project.
Each student will paint a square for the quilt by the end of the school year. Then they will send them to a quilter to be sewn together over the summer.
“I hope they feel a sense of appreciation for what they do that their hearts will be touched by children that help them through their time of need,” Teacher Denise Cross said.
