IOWA SOLDIER: Flags To Be Lowered

Gov. Terry Branstad has ordered flags to fly at half-staff Tuesday in honor of a fallen Iowa soldier.

Army Staff Sergeant Steve Blass, of Estherville, died in a Black Hawk helicopter crash in Afghanistan on March 11th.

The flags will be lowered on the day of Blass’ funeral.

Services are being held at the Estherville High School gym at 2:00 p.m.

The 27-year-old leaves behind a wife and a 16-month-old son.
